"A few months ago I transferred my home and auto insurance to Julie's agency and I couldn't be happier. For the coverage I wanted, State Farm's rates were the lowest, and the service has been exceptional. I've been working mostly with Rene and she was very professional in exploring my various coverage options and answering any questions. Most recently, Rene warned me in advance my defensive driving course had lapsed and I would need to retake it to keep the discount. My previous insurer would have never done that. I used to have State Farm years ago, and had forgotten how nice it is to have a dedicated agent. As an aside, I live in Lakewood (the one south of Tacoma) and when I originally requested an on-line quote, I was expecting one from a local agent. "About a year ago, I received notice from State Farm that my homeowners policy was set for non-renewal due to a supposedly worn roof and vegetation touching the house—an assessment made entirely from satellite images, which initially irked me. No one had come out to look in person. That’s when I contacted Julie Kerber’s office and began working with Alice. She became my main point of contact with the underwriters, guiding me through the process. She suggested I trim the vegetation and send in photos of the roof, which I did, though the underwriters still rejected them. I then gathered quotes from roofers (who generally said the roof would last a little longer) and also explored switching insurance after 45 years with State Farm. Ultimately, I chose to replace the roof, and with Alice’s help in submitting documentation and photos, the underwriters agreed to continue my policy. Thanks to Alice’s persistence and support, I was able to stay with State Farm through Julie Kerber’s office. While the experience started off on a frustrating note, the excellent service I received locally made all the difference."
